Storms rolled through Indy (and most of the Nation) yesterday. There was a tornado which tore the roof off a nursing home on the city's Southside. Lots of power lines snapped and trees uprooted. Fortunately the Northside was hardly touched except for some heavy rain in the late evening.

As usual, living in Indianapolis can be hell on Memorial Day weekend what with the 500 mile race. But, since I live on the Northside now and the race dominates the Westside, it's not so bad. If the WX is good, I should have a relaxing weekend.

Winding up another busy day

I have been on the go since early this morning, but that is OK. I hate boring, do-nothing days so I am not complaining.
I have a few plants in pots now for the coming season. A few peppers, a tomato, and a cucumber. I still have to get some basil for my salads so I will check the "farmer's market" which happens tomorrow at lunchtime.

Another weekend shot to hell. My mother liked the "Tenko" tape I got her from England - well, I bought the DVD as I have a region-free player which allows me to make an NTSC tape from a region 2 DVD. They didn't sell a region 1 "Tenko" so the trip to England was necessary after all.

All flights went like clockwork. I changed my seat on the flight from Heathrow to give myself a few more inches of privacy, but the stupid bitch in front of me wouldn't sit still and kept wiggling my viewscreen everytime she moved. A minor gripe though. I miss everybody in East Sheen already, haven't the time, really. Peeps are already calling me with their network problems so I better get dressed.

Lydia and I are going to Richmond for some lunch and then some shopping. I leave tomorrow so I have some last minute presents to buy, also it is Lydia's twentieth birthday on Saturday, so I am going to get her something special.
